I hope your summer is going well! Tomorrow my boyfriend and I are heading off to Sedona, Arizona to celebrate his birthday and spend some much-needed time in nature. Sedona is known to be a sacred, healing place, complete with gorgeous red rocks and mystical energy vortexes. Plus, I’m taking Ajay camping for the first time ever…fingers crossed that he likes it! 😉
Today, I want to leave you with 4 important truths – I needed to be reminded of these constantly throughout my 20s (and still need to hear them all the time!)
- You are not behind. In fact, you’re exactly where you need to be right now. Even if your path looks totally different than anyone else’s. Someday, you’ll look back on this decade of your life and say, “Ahhh, now I understand. Now it all makes sense.”
- It’s normal that things get confusing and messy. It’s just part of the process…and always will be! We aren’t meant to be perfect; we are spiritual beings having a very human experience. There will always be periods of chaos, intensity, and confusion…because that is how true growth happens. It’s best to embrace the mess instead of fighting it.
- It’s ok to explore. After I quit my teaching job, instead of beating myself up for feeling lost, I gave myself full permission to explore different paths, jobs, and passions. This exploration process was so necessary for me, and got me clear on what I really wanted to be doing.
- You have a unique purpose on this planet. You have special gifts that only you can give. The more you express and give these gifts, the better (and more inspired) you will feel. And please, don’t worry if you still don’t know what your purpose is – it lives within you, and will become clear when the time is right.
Truly, your 20s aren’t a time to get it all figured out. They are a time when you stop doing everything “right” and start listening to the voice of your precious heart.
If you’re ready to learn how your heart & intuition speak to you, you are invited to my first-ever sunset gathering!
It’s happening on Wed. August 9th at 6:30 pm in Santa Monica. And it’s free! You can go here for all the details and to reserve your spot: https://www.eventbrite.
With love & encouragement,
